Description:
Mozart's masterpiece, composed in 1789 for his friend Stadler, was the first work of its kind in the genre and is known for its influence on later generations as it explored and exemplified the possibilities of the clarinet, which was still a "new instrument" at the time. Reger's Quintet, composed in 1915, was his last completed work. It is a clear and clear music with a chromatic melody and a soft and beautiful atmosphere. These two pieces inspired Leitner's Clarinet Quintet. The opening of the piece is mournful, but melodies by Mozart and Reger appear in places, creating a fantastical world. The ethereal beauty of the second movement is also worth listening to. Naxos Japan
