Description:
Here comes the definitive edition of the rare musical work of Shinro Ohtake, known as an artist, Dub-Hei & New Chanel. This work is a 2 CD recording of a performance by Dub-Hei & New Chanel that took place inside TAD, the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art, on the last day of the Shinro Ohtake Exhibition tour that began at the National Museum of Modern Art, Toyama in 2022. In this performance, Toshiaki Toyama, a close friend who had been playing JUKE/19. with Ohtake since the early 80s, brought in a group of modified instruments of his own making and interrupted Dub-Hei & New Chanel's performance, plunging into a sound world like a black hole that swallowed everything, which was impossible for Dub-Hei & New Chanel alone until then, It became so intense that the history of Otake music starting from JUKE/19. was condensed at once. The sound mass, which is the ultimate in industrial, is joined by Ohtake's live performance, creating a physical chaos, and Taku Unami's crisp remastering of the recording has created an overwhelming acoustic space.
