Under the direction of renowned producer Chips Moman, she advanced into the southern United States, much like Dusty Springfield and Lulu did during the same period, and produced a masterpiece that blossomed with a soulful side while retaining her traditional charm. Starting with the cheerful M1, it includes M4, a song written by Al Grant himself, as well as his signature covers such as David Gates' M6 and, surprisingly, Curtis Mayfield's famous song M11.
