Audio Park’s SP Reissue Series presents what could be called a “best-of” collection featuring 11 trumpeters, including Bank Johnson and Udun Joe. While the album compiles New Orleans jazz, the performances are characterized by a simple yet powerful style, as exemplified by Johnson’s opening two tracks.
