Description:

The new series on the GRAND PIANO label, "The Complete Satie Piano Works," was published in 2016 and recorded using a new edition by Salabert, a publisher with over 100 years of history in France. Some of the works are world premiere recordings, while others are first recordings in this revised edition, making this album very interesting for Satie lovers. Horvat is playing the historical Erard, which was owned by Cosima Wagner. The sound of Satie's time is brought back to life as it was when she was active. The works are recorded chronologically, and it is easy to see how she gradually shed the influence of Chopin seen in her early years and developed her own exquisite and unique style. Naxos Japan
