In a passage from "Atsumori," a dance in which Nobunaga excelled, there is a phrase that says, "Fifty years of human life is like a dream if one is blinded by the heavens. What kind of music (Gagaku) did the ancient people play in both Buddhist and Shinto ceremonies to celebrate the milestones of their lives and pray for the reprieve from calamities? Starting with "Koshitenraku," which is still used for weddings today, this CD contains a short summary of "Gagaku" and its unique and characteristic melodies, including "Momo no Sekku," "Longevity Extension," "Kaiseki Celebration," "BGM for Drinking Sake," "Insect Repellent," "Prayer for Victory," "Separation," and "Souei," which are used to achieve goals. There are re-editions.
