The orchestra's breathing with the orchestra is perfectly in tune, and the surprises Rossini sets up here and there are vividly presented with an overwhelming sense of speed and dynamism. The mastery of Rossini's crescendos, the singing spirit in the flexible cantabile, and above all, the vitality of the work as a whole, are the true essence of this duo.
