One of John Barry's greatest films, the Academy Award-winning "The End of Love and Sorrow" will be released in its entirety! This release contains themes and ideas that were not on the original MCA album released at the time of the film, and includes the first public release of Barry's gems. There is also alternate and source music for the score, and then the complete soundtrack disc itself, which was released at the time of the film's release in 1985. The film, directed by master filmmaker Sydney Pollack and starring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, is about a passionate love affair between a coffee plantation owner and an English hunter in Kenya. It is a masterpiece that won seven Academy Awards that year, including Best Composition, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Sound.
