This 3-disc set features the original soundtrack score by renowned composer Trevor Jones for the groundbreaking 1982 fantasy film "The Dark Crystal," directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. This film was a feat that transcended the boundaries between puppetry and film, a feat that resulted in an immersive and breathtaking worldview that far surpassed any previous technology. Integral to the success of this feat was the outstanding original music score by composer Trevor Jones. Conceived, structured, and produced by Trevor Jones himself, this lavish 3-CD set features the first ever compositions in their original order. Copies of the master tapes were digitized along with the composer's complete works, which are now archived at the University of Leeds. Jones personally reassembled and remastered the audio at Abbey Road for this special presentation. (C)RS
