Piero Lunelle was a chamber rock group formed in Rome in 1974 by multi-instrumentalists Gaio Kyokkyo and Vincenzo Caporalletti, along with pianist Arturo Starteri. Alongside Opus Avantra, which debuted that same year, they are highly regarded as leading figures in the chamber music-oriented Italian rock scene. Although the group disbanded after releasing two albums, Piero Lunelle (1974) and Gudrun (1977), unreleased recordings were actually made in 1978. Centered around the three-part title track “Tre,” this album also features cover versions by up-and-coming bands, making it a noteworthy release that showcases a new side of the group.
