The main character, a woman named Dunan, and a male cyborg named Briareos are caught up in this plan. Based on a manga by Shirow Masamune, famous for "Ghost in the Shell" and other works, it is popular not only in Japan but also abroad, and has been published in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other countries. Although this work has already been made into a film many times, "APPLESEED ALPHA" is a prequel to the story of Dunan and Briareos' journey to Olympus, which has never been shown before, in a 3D CG film.
