This is a funky soul-jazz picture scroll featuring two soul-jazz national treasures: trombonist Al Gray, who was the face of the Count Basie band, and tenor saxophonist Jimmy Forrest, author of James Brown's hit song "Night Train". And Shirley Scott plays the piano instead of the organ! Recorded live in 1978 in Chicago, the holy land of soul jazz. This is the first CD release in Japan. (C)RS
