Synergy," an album that finds commonalities between peoples and traditions that connect music from different cultures with dance rhythms, led by István Váardai and the Liszt Chamber Orchestra Spanish clarinetist Pablo BalaganHungarian tradition of music connected by various arrangements, each piece interwoven with the other. This is a piece that brings out the synergistic effects of each piece. The performance is by clarinetist Pablo Barragan, born in Spain in 1987. He studied in his hometown and in Basel, and was accepted by Barenboim to play in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. The Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, led by István Varady, a leader in the Hungarian cello scene, and the Hungarian-based Sarkozy Trio round out the talented lineup. At the heart of the album is Hartmann's Chamber Concerto for clarinet, string quartet, and string orchestra. Hartmann is the epitome of synergy of musical ideas, blending the spirit of Hungarian folk music with a contemporary, introspective voice.And Paco de Lucia's "Callejon del Muro" adds a touch of Andalusian passion to the album, while the arrangements by Spanish-born Pablo Barragan seamlessly integrate the intense flamenco rhythms into the album's narrative, transcending cultural boundaries to create a universal dance language.
