Description:
“Opus 1” — A Collection of Works by Beethoven, Berg, Berio, and Etvös — Frank Dupree, Winner of the 2014 German Music Competition — A promising young pianist born in 1991 makes his debut! He studied under Sontraut Spiedel from a young age and attended the Karlsruhe University of Music. He has already won over 60 awards and boasts an extensive repertoire. His program selection, which showcases his talent, is also worth noting. Hungarian composer Etvös’s “Piano on Earth—Piano in the Sky” was composed in memory of Berio. The album features three pieces, including Berio’s mysterious and exquisitely beautiful “Clavichord of Water.” The performance is captivating, with a delicate touch and a resonant tone.
