Description:
Kleckner / R. Strauss: Cello Sonata, et al. A must-listen for cello lovers. This is the second CD released on “GENUIN” by Benedict Kleckner, a young German cellist who is currently attracting a great deal of attention. His first release featured Schumann’s Cello Concerto with two different accompaniments (GEN11215). Kleckner’s rich, passionate tone, with which his cello sings so resonantly, is utterly captivating—so much so that it makes you realize just how wonderful R. Strauss’s Cello Sonata truly is. At the same time, his portrayal of Reim’s “Silence” and the simplicity of the “Romance” reveals an exceptionally wide range of expression despite his youth; he will undoubtedly become a world-class cellist before long. (TOBU) [Track Listing] ・R. Strauss: Cello Sonata in F major, Op. 6 ・Poulenc: Cello Sonata, Op. 143 ・Poulenc: Two Poems by Louis Aragon—No. 1 “Sè” ・Reim: From Afar ・R.
