A rising star on the European jazz scene, German keyboardist/composer Djimon Ostlender is back with "Peace of Mind," his second release for the label from the 24-year-old prodigy, who made his Leopard Records debut "About Time" to critical acclaim in 2020. Born in Aachen, Germany in 1998, Zimon began playing drums at the age of 2 and was fascinated by the B3 organ a few years later. He also played in a big band. In 2018, he toured Europe with Wolfgang Hafner's band.Backed by a world-class rhythm section featuring veteran American bassist Will Lee and Germany's most acclaimed jazz drummer Wolfgang Haffner, Zimon's prodigious playing on acoustic piano, Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes, and his signature Yamaha Montage synthesizer, as well as his lyricless vocals, make this album a truly versatile work of art. The talented keyboardist demonstrates his deep emotion and abundant talent, sublimating funk, blues, and jazz into an exquisite fusion sound.
