The latest recording of the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra led by Principal Conductor Hofstädter, a collection of works associated with Stuttgart. The works include Pachelbel, composer and organist at the Württemberg court in Stuttgart, and Kelemen, a Croatian-born composer who lived in Stuttgart for more than 35 years and was a professor of composition. The works are all performed with great virtuosity by the players, but the most famous of all is "Pachelbel's Canon," a well-known number since Münchinger's best-selling recording of it in the old days. The ensemble's strong performance is demonstrated by a number of unexpected highlights, including the "Pachelbel's Canon," a familiar number.
