Description:

The most popular disc of the year! The Rite of Spring" by Elas-Cassad and the Orchestre de Paris! Isabelle Faust as soloist in Eötvös's "Alhambra"! This is a disc of great interest! The Rite of Spring" by Elas-Cassad and the Orchestre de Paris! The coupling disc includes Eötvösch's "Alhambra" with Isabelle Faust as soloist! His deep interpretation, high persuasiveness, and wide repertoire from baroque to contemporary music, as well as his various collaborations and recordings with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and Philharmonia Orchestra. His versatility can be clearly seen in the fact that he has performed and recorded with orchestras as diverse as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and Philharmonia Orchestra. This recording is of Stravinsky's ballet "The Rite of Spring," which caused a sensation when it was premiered at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris in 1913. It was an anti-ballet movement and a major scandal in the ballet world, but what also astonished the audience was the sound produced by the unique orchestration of five winds, and Stravinsky's innovative music with its irregular, sharp accents and irregular time signatures. The clear interpretation by Elas-Cassad and the exquisite and colorful performance by the Orchestre de Paris, each instrument of the unique players of the Orchestre de Paris resonates well and is played by the best ensemble. The first part is more intellectual and refined than the indigenous elements, but the second part is like a kaleidoscope, with dizzying changes of light and color, and I take my hat off to Elas-Cassado's skill in bringing them out dynamically and vividly. The coupling is Peter Eötvös's Violin Concerto No. 3, "Alhambra. This work was commissioned by the Granada Music Festival in Spain and premiered on July 12, 2019 by Isabel Faust and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Elas-Cassado. Inspired by and dedicated to the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, and to the two first performers, Isabel Faust and Elas-Cassado. Eötvös said, "The fountain of the palace, its dimensions, the surrounding mountains, the wonderful Andalusian sunsets, all became part of my work. If I were a painter, I would have painted it." He said. The two names are also hidden in the work as sound names. King International
