Beethoven (1770-1827)
Description:
The best and most remarkable recordings of the past 21 years are already available! Beethoven's Triple Concerto Harmoniumundi by Faust, Kellas, Melnikov, and members of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, the finest orchestra of our time, will be recorded from 2020, the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, to 2027, the 200th anniversary of his death. A major new release from the planned series. Beethoven's Triple Concerto by Faust, Kellas, Melnikov, and the 2020 Record Academy Award Grand Prize winner, Elas-Cassad and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Their successful Schumann concerto project is also highly anticipated. It is said that the Triple Concerto was written for his pupil Archduke Rudolf to play with his acquaintances at the piano. Therefore, the piano part is not technical, but it is written effectively, and the violin and cello each bring out their own resonance in the theme, and the piano and orchestra harmonize with each other. The wonderful balance between orchestra and solo instruments, and the natural articulation of the music, dispel any preconceived notions of the work, and create a masterpiece of a standard that could only be achieved by this group of musicians. And a piano trio version of Symphony No. 2, arranged by Beethoven himself. This arrangement of the orchestral work for a small chamber music group has a different appeal from the original. Faust, Kellas, and Melnikov have already released a collection of Beethoven's piano trios [HMC 902125/ KKC 5385], and they have given us breathtakingly beautiful performances with detailed expression, This is the definitive version of this edition.
