The early years of legendary guitarist/vocalist PHILL KEAGGY, who would later blossom in the CCM scene and leave behind over 55 albums. After playing with several local bands, including garage rockers SQUIRES (also featured on 'HIGHS IN THE MID-SIXTIES, VOLUME 9), bassist STEVE MARKULIN—who would later join fellow Youngstown native band HUMAN BEINZ—and longtime friend drummer JOHN SFERRA formed the Youngstown, Ohio garage psychedelic trio GLASS HARP. Their only release, the now $200 ultra-rare single "WHERE DID MY WORLD COME FROM" / "SHE TOLD ME," was shelved after its release (later circulating for years as bootlegs). Now, for the first time ever, their original recordings have been compiled into an album from the original masters. The original reel-to-reel tapes were thought to be lost forever, but Phill Keaggy discovered a box containing these masters while searching for tapes for another project. The fuzz-drenched guitar bounces on the title track "WHERE DID MY WORLD COME FROM?" the raw, bittersweet minor-key garage track "SHE TOLD ME" with its fluttering drums, and "HIGH FLIGHT," where the urgent, youthful interplay captures the essence of American garage psychedelia. From delicate acoustic ballads to driving rock, these nine tracks are packed with dynamic range, energetic performances, and bluesy youth.
