A new work by a solitary keyboard player, Akitsuyuko. This analog work follows "EMPTY TALK" from the disc, but this time it is a unique and new step forward for her. It is one long track on each side, and in fact, the performance on the B-side is also continuous, and considering her previous tranquil works, the noisy side is also expressed, and a dramatic time with a large amplitude can be experienced. What is perhaps even more surprising is that for the first time, the visuals of the artist herself appear in the main part of the work. He has never been seen in public, and in the past, he did not even perform live, so much so that some even doubted his existence as a fictional character created by Nobukazu Takemura of childisc (although he began to perform live frequently after the '10s), As you can see, the photo was taken during a Japanese dance presentation, and the Japanese makeup is perfectly applied. The production process of this work is also very special.She has attracted a lot of attention from overseas with "Music Room" for Drag City/MOIKAI and "Hokane" for Thrill Jocky (both for childisc in Japan), but the A-side that inspired this work was commissioned by Gallery Valiform in Portland, Oregon, USA. The gallery operates under the unusual concept of "exhibiting sounds," and this work was created by folding together various sound sources for "exhibition" there. Since she had gone to the trouble of creating the piece, she wanted to have people listen to it, so she played the piece at her concert "Akitsuyuko's Room" at Koenji Enban, with the venue completely darkened, and then improvised a performance to cover the ending of the sound source. The piece was then improvised over the ending of the soundtrack and performed as a suite for a total of about one hour.Akitsuyuko's Room" is a series of irregular shows that she had been performing at Koenji Enban from 2016 to 2020 in order to explore her musical expression in live performance, having previously only recorded her output. The live performance was the highlight of the series, and the B-side "Village" was newly recorded and made into a work based on the performance. I believe that this work was born from the real spots in Japan and the U.S., and that we were able to present a unique form of expression that was born from the creative process and the location. The presentation is only available in analog form, as the theme of both of these spots is to distance themselves from the digital world.
