Description:

The latest two albums by Katia Buniatishvili, a beautiful virtuoso who is now very popular in Japan, are now available at a special limited price! Katia Buniatishvili, a comet from Georgia, a country that has produced many outstanding musicians, signed an exclusive contract with Sony Classical in 2011, and made her debut in the spring of the same year with a collection of Franz Liszt's works celebrating the bicentennial of his birth. Since then, her second album "Chopin Album," her serene third album "Motherland," and her brilliant force album "Kaleidoscope ("Pictures at an Exhibition" and others)" have each created a buzz. Katia's latest two albums, "Rachmaninoff: Piano Concertos No. 2 & 3" and "Schubert: Piano Works," are now available in a slipcase at a special price. <CD1> Rachmaninoff: Piano Concertos No. 2 & No. 3 *Same as 8898540241-2, released on March 10, 2017Katya Buniatishvili's concerto album, which allows you to enjoy her magnificent and brilliant pianism. This is Katia's first full concerto recording, and it is a gorgeous disc that couples Rachmaninoff's two famous concertos: No. 2, one of the most famous piano concertos of the Romantic era, and No. 3, a difficult piece that requires extreme technical skill and has become much more famous in recent years. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Paavo Järvi, performs with this disc. This is the first recording of the two musicians since their performance of Chopin's Second Concerto (Orchestre de Paris) on the "Chopin Album," but they have performed together in many places, and their chemistry has already been proven to Japanese music fans with the NHK Symphony Orchestra's Schumann subscription concert. The combination of Katia, Pavo, and the Czech Philharmonic highlights the essence of the work. <The first Schubert work by Buniatishvili is a large B-flat major sonata. The jacket is a beautiful Katia turned into Ophelia floating on water! Katia Buniatishvili is known for her unrestrained interpretation and sensitive expression. This album is a collection of Schubert's works, which she specializes in but has never recorded before. The pieces chosen are the last Sonata No. 21 and the Improvisation Op. 90, as well as the "Serenade" arranged by Liszt, which is full of "songfulness". This is a great piece to enjoy Buniatishvili's typical expression. Schubert's "Sonata No. 21," composed two months before his death, is a long work with a beautiful melody, but the sense of despair that pervades the entire work is said to reflect his anxious feelings. Buniatishvili carefully depicts the shifting moods in each measure, making known the profundity of Schubert's work. The four improvisations also present a different world for each piece, and the final "Serenade" offers a taste of the "technical" Schubert as arranged by Liszt. This recording was made in Hohenems, Austria, where the Schubertiade Festival is held every year. Sony Music
