2020 Beethoven 250th anniversary release. A parade of masterpieces from the history of Beethoven performances in the 20th century, presented on the prestigious Sony Classical and RCA Red Seal's masterpieces and great injections. Beethoven was baptized on December 17, 1770. The year 2020 will mark the 250th anniversary of his birth. To commemorate this, this 25-disc set retraces Beethoven's masterpieces on Sony Classical and RCA Red Seal's classic recordings of nine symphonies, including Bruno Walter (No. 1), Bernstein (Nos. 3 and 8), George Szell (Nos. 2, 4, and 6), Fritz Reiner (Nos. 5 and 7), and RCA Red Seal (No. 6). The five overtures are Munsch/Boston. The concerto lineup begins with the Living Stereo masterpiece, the ironclad Violin Concerto by Heifetz + Münch, followed by the five piano concertos, all by unique virtuosos: Gould (Nos. 1 and 2), Fleischer + Sell (Nos. 3 and 4), and Rubinstein + Reinsdorf (Emperor). The Triple Concerto is also a masterpiece. The Triple Concerto is another LP classic, Stern + Rose + Istomin with Ormandy from 1964.The Stern Trio is also used in the piano trios of "The Grand Duke" and "The Ghost," as well as No. 1 by the Heifetz+Latiner+Piatigorsky trio of the same period. The String Trio No. 3 and Serenade are also selected from Heifetz's late chamber music recordings. The violin sonata is by Francescatti, the cello sonata by Yo-Yo Ma, and the seven string quartets include the mono Budapest of the 1950s, the Juilliard of the 1960s, and the Tokyo Quartet of the 1990s. In addition to the three sonatas by Rudolf Zelkin, who was also a standard in the LP era, the latter three sonatas released after his death are also recorded by the same Zelkin. have also been chosen for this concert, which is also gorgeous. Moreover, the Diavelli Variations are recorded on the latest Igor Levitt disc, which is also heartbreaking. Among the vocal pieces, "Missa Solemnis," in which young Bernstein's passion seems to explode, "Christ on Mount Olive" by Ormandy, and "Oh, the unfaithful man" with Crespin and Schippers, a Columbia masterpiece from the analog era, are selected, as well as some other rare selections, Björling's Carnegie Hall live performance of "Adelaide" is included.
