Christian Järvi returns to Chandos! The march collection he inherited from his father is "Sousa"! Christian Järvi, the heir to the Järvi family of Estonian music, makes his first appearance at Chandos in a long time! Christian Järvi is currently the Music Director of the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, as well as the founder and conductor (Music Director) of the Absolute Ensemble and the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, and has been as active as his father Nämme and brother Paavo. This Chandos release, his first in six years, is a march album that continues the tradition of his father Nämé Järvi's "Suppe (CHSA 5110)" and "Furtik (CHSA 5158)" with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), and features works by America's "March King," John Philip Sousa. The album features the works of America's "King of Marches," John Philip Sousa. Christian's dynamic and energetic performance of such famous songs as "The Washington Post" and "The Star-Spangled Banner Forever" will be sure to please your ears! Tokyo M-Plus
