The new Cinquecento recordings, which have so far graced the album with an unknown program of Renaissance music from the Flemish school, including Jean Richardfort, Philippe Schöndorff, Philippe De Monte, Jacob Runyar, Heinrich Isaac, and others, A collection of religious music by Ludwig Däser (1526-1589)! Ludwig Däser was a German Renaissance composer whose life and works span both Munich and Stuttgart, Catholic and Lutheran. Influenced by the Flemish school of music, he was a highly respected composer by his contemporaries, but with the arrival of Orlando di Lasso (Lassus), who succeeded him in Munich, he was completely overshadowed in the history of music.This work includes the substantial Mass "Pater Noster" as well as a selection of Latin motets and German chorales, allowing the listener to enjoy the various styles of both.
