A Russian gem that won the prestigious Hornes Prize! Pavel Kolesnikov's "Goltsberg"! Pavel Kolesnikov was born in 1989 in Siberia, Russia, and in 2012 he won the "Hornense International Piano Competition" in Canada, known for its world-class prize money and generous support for his musical activities. Currently based in the UK, he was selected for the BBC's "New Generation Artist Scheme" in 2014-2016, and is one of the candidates for the next generation of top pianists for whom Hyperion, the piano kingdom, has great trust and expectations. In Japan, she has been a substitute for Hélène Mercier in a 2013 performance with Dumay & Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra and gave her first successful recital in Japan in January 2018; she will also appear at Yamaha Hall and Suntory Hall Chamber Music Garden in June 2019, and has been gaining a growing fan base in Japan.Kolesnikov, who has captivated audiences with poetic and elegant performances of Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Chopin, and others, and a program of "Louis Couperin" on piano in the Baroque repertoire, is pleased to present his latest album, J.S. Bach's "Golteberg Variations"! Kolesnikov has been fascinated by this enigmatic work since childhood, but had not seriously considered adding it to his repertoire until recently, when he was invited to perform it with the great dancer and choreographer Anne Kolesnikov, artistic director of the world-class Belgian dance company Rosas. Kolesnikov performed the "Goltberg Variations" in collaboration with Anne Theresa de Caesemaker, a great dancer and choreographer who is the artistic director of the world-class dance company "Rosas" in Belgium, and developed his interpretation of the work. For this recording, Kolesnikov also chose a Yamaha CFS piano. Please enjoy Kolesnikov's original "Golberg Variations," which he has refined as a dance piece through collaboration with contemporary dance. Tokyo M-Plus
