From the complete recordings made by the famous American pianist Charles Rosen [1927-2012] for Columbia and Epic labels in the US, piano works by Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Webern, Elliott Carter and other 20th century composers are compiled on four CDs. Featured are Boulez's Piano Sonatas Nos. 1 and 3, recorded under the composer's supervision in 1969-70. The recordings were remastered at b-sharp studios in Berlin at 24-bit / 88.2KHz, resulting in a stretched sound that is more faithful to the master tapes. This set does not include a booklet.
