Brazilian indie/experimental music from the 80's onward has been gaining attention recently thanks to the efforts of record collectors. Two titles that can be considered the pinnacle of Brazilian indie/experimental music are now being officially reissued by DISCOS NADA, a new label based in São Paulo, Brazil. The long-awaited reissue of "CARACOL", one of the first masterpieces that harmonized percussive Brazilian music and electronics! João de Bruso started his career as a drummer, playing everything from jazz to foho, then studied Brazilian folklore, worked in the circus, and did scores for theater, dance performances, and television. R.H. Jackson began his career as a drummer/percussionist, studied film, video, and electronic music composition, and then studied Brazilian folklore, including candomblé.In response to the cliché-obsessed youth-oriented Brazilian music of the time, the duo created a bold, intuitive, and unprecedented sound in this work, "Caracol". Recorded between 1988-89, João played not only the usual instruments such as percussion and accordion, but also a copper vase filled with water, seeds, animal hooves, snores, springs, bells, marbles, metal mugs, a piano, and a toy clarinet with Hermeto Pascoal's regards. He played a piano and a toy clarinet. Jackson, on the other hand, was primarily responsible for electronic programming, samplers, sound treatments, and synthesizers, and even though such electronic equipment was a novelty in 1980s Brazil, his mastery of computer programming, samplers, and sequencers was a unique characteristic of his work. This is the main reason why this album has a unique character. However, not many people could understand this music at the time, and the original recordings, which were completely self-produced and released independently, are extremely rare.The compilation "OUTRO TEMPO" compiled by MUSIC FROM MEMORY in Holland included "Terra Batida" from this album, making it a coveted collector's item that attracts Brazilian and experimental music fans from all over the world, as well as Balearic fans. This long-awaited first reissue includes two additional tracks that were previously unreleased at the time (and are of excellent quality!). The original master tapes were carefully remastered and reissued. The cover has been carefully remastered from the original master tapes and reproduced in its original design, with testimonials from Brousseau and Jackson, and a commentary by Bent Araújo, editor of "Lindo Sonho Delirante," a guidebook on Brazilian psychedelic/experimental music. The book also includes a commentary by Bent Araujo, the editor of the Brazilian psychedelic/experimental music guidebook "Lindo Sonho Delirante".The legendary Miles Davis Quintet Prestige sessions "Miles," "Cookin'," "Relaxin'," "Workin'," "Steamin'," and "Miles Davis and the Modern Jazz Giants" are released in a 6-LP 180g weight vinyl box with a 20 page One LP contains the TV performance and one LP contains the radio performance recordings. Pressed by Record Technology Inc. and covered by Miles' painting "New York by Night," already released on CD in 2006.
