Although he is currently taking a temporary break from his musical activities due to poor health, he reigns as one of the world's greatest masters representing the contemporary classical music world. This is a live video of a concert at the "Ruhr Piano Festival" held at the Jahrhundert Hall in Bochum from May 21 to 23, 2007. The Ruhr is known as one of the most industrial areas in Germany, and this annual piano festival held in the Ruhr region is one of the largest music festivals in Germany. It is a meeting place where pianists from all over the world gather regularly. The festival has become a gateway to success not only for professionals who have already made a name for themselves, but also for young people with abundant talent. The highlight of this year's festival was the complete cycle of Beethoven's piano concertos performed by Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin.
