A compilation covering all studio recordings by ACHERON (later ABRAMELIN), a key act in the Australian old-school death metal scene. Formed in Melbourne in 1988, the band was short-lived but left a lasting mark on the early Australian death metal underground. This release captures the dark, damp atmosphere characteristic of the early ’90s, along with a raw yet forward-driving technicality. Their 1991 EP *Deprived of Afterlife*, released by France’s Corpsegrinder Records, brought them international attention; while resonating with the European and American death metal trends of the time, they established their own unique identity. As evidenced by their history of performing alongside bands like CARCASS, MORBID ANGEL, and PUNGENT STENCH, this is a record by a talented band that was right at the heart of the scene.
