The legendary UK post-punk x ambient loners, with their first new studio album in 40 years, are back! Many people were astonished by their post-punk-oriented activities that ingested experimental and ambient music, and here they are, releasing their first studio album in 40 years, "EMPIRES INTO SAND"! The kicker was in 2015 when we reunited to release "RETURN OF THE RANTERS", which was recorded in 1985-86 and became a phantom. The editing process for this album and the reunion live show to celebrate its release increased the members' enthusiasm for the project. The band went to a small village in Scotland for a recording camp, where they incorporated some of the ideas they had in the 80's. The result is a powerful album that shows the band is still going strong, especially with the gory ambient feel of the lead track "EXILES"! The band's spoken-word vocal style expresses the band's tingling sensation.
