Schubert Zycles finally complete! The Unfinished" and "The Great" by Jacobs and the Be-Rock Orchestra. Unfinished" includes a reading of Schubert's composition "My Dreams"! The complete collection of recordings of Schubert's symphonies by the B-Rock Orchestra led by René Jacobs is finally complete! This album includes No. 8 "Unfinished" and No. 9 "The Great"! The "Unfinished" is accompanied by a reading of Schubert's autobiographical composition "My Dreams". This composition was written on July 3, 1822 and consists of two parts. The first half of the composition tells of his mother's death and his relationship with his father, while the second half moves into a fantastical and romantic world, eventually leading to reconciliation with his father. On the other hand, the autograph score of "Unfinished" is dated October 30 of the same year. The combination of these two pieces, written at about the same time, is intended to show Schubert's spirituality of the time. The reading is by Tobias Moretti! The B'Rock Orchestra was founded in 2005 in Ghent, Belgium's third largest city.Composed of talented musicians, the troupe inspires each other musically and has made a reputation for itself with performers such as René Jacobs, Ivar Bolton, and Alexandre Melnikov. The troupe also includes many Japanese performers and will make its long-awaited first visit to Japan in September 2019. The troupe, which can play with ever-changing timbres, sings freely under the baton of Jacobs and gives us a colorful and exciting performance. The recording is not only a superb performance, but also a recording made by the PENTATONE label's renowned technical staff, including Eldo Groot. This disc is available in CD format.
