Description:

Finally released! The stunning "St. Ann" performed by the young virtuoso Piemontage! The second release on the PENTATONE label is a Bach transcription! Francesco Piemontage is a young virtuoso who is currently very active mainly in Europe. He has been actively recording for a number of labels. His recent debut on the PENTATONE label with Schubert's masterpiece Piano Sonatas Nos. 19-21 (KKC-6272 / PTC-5186732) was a definitive masterpiece by a young virtuoso, and his highly anticipated second release on the PENTATONE label is entitled "Bach Nostalgia". The second release on the PENTATONE label, entitled "Bach Nostalgia," features J.S. Bach's Prelude and Fugue in E-flat major, BWV552, arranged by Busoni, commonly known as "St. Ann," at both ends, and Bach's works arranged by Busoni, Kemp, and Schnaus, as well as Busoni's Toccata. The Prelude and Fugue in E-flat major, BWV552 "St. Ann," which is placed at either end of the third part of J.S. Bach's Clavier Exercises, "German Organ Mass," consisting of 27 pieces in all, is a masterpiece often performed on its own. It is also known for its orchestral version by Schoenberg. Piemontage imagined the original composition of this work, placing it at both ends and performing it. Busoni's arrangement of this masterpiece, known as one of the most difficult of Bach's organ works, is a masterful performance that pursues a magnificent and flowing organ sound. Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924), who is also famous for his piano arrangement of Bach's Chaconne, has composed the original Toccata K.287, a difficult piece in three parts: a small prelude, fantasy, and chaconne. It is also known that Alfredo Brendel, whom Piemontesi studied under, was a favorite of Piemontesi. This work, which makes full use of brilliant technique, shows Busoni's ability and presence as a composer, and Piemontage's poetic expression brings brilliance to this work. Piemontesi's poetic expression shines through in this work, and we can't help but expect even greater things from him in the future. Francesco Piemontage (piano) was born in Switzerland in 1983.He has been trained by great pianists such as Alfred Brendel, Cecil Ousset, and Alexis Weissenberg, and was awarded the third prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in 2007, attracting much attention. She has performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and other conductors such as Sakari Oramo and Mikhail Pletnyov. He has also appeared frequently at the Lugano Music Festival, where he has received particular acclaim from Martha Argerich. Her debut disc on the PENTATONE label, a collection of Schubert's late piano sonatas, has been highly praised by Record Art, Yomiuri Shimbun, and Mainichi Shimbun, among others. King International
