Lovisa Jennervall

Description:

Swedish jazz vocalist Lovisa Jennervall Lovisa Jennervall is described as having a warm, authentic voice that immediately captivates the listener. She spent her childhood and adolescence surrounded by music in Hernesand and Gothenburg in Västernorrland, and in the spring of 2015, she developed a great love for jazz in New York City. Shortly after returning home, she formed the "Lovosa Jennerval Quartet" in Gothenburg. In the fall of 2016, she enrolled at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH), where she founded the project "Lovisa Jennerval Wind Ensemble" in her first year, composing and arranging for the ensemble.KMH At KMH, she formed "Elas Kapell," and her two albums, "Longing" (Propone PCD 216) and "What's It All About?" (PCD 266), in which she sang a program based on the "American Songbook," were a hit with jazz fans. The first two albums, "What's It All About?Between You and Me," the latest release from Prophone Records, is the most personal and colorful album Rovisa has released, she says. With the exception of "Note to Self," a poem by Anna Soyland, all of the songs were written and composed by Lovisa. It walks with the listener through "a journey with pain" and ponders what comes after. ...... Ima Baeza Bilgin Ima Baeza Bilgin on piano, August Eriksson August Eriksson on bass, Magnus Jonasson Magnus Jonasson on drums, Samuel Muntlin Samuel Muntlin on tenor sax and accordion The album was released in 1985 and is now available for purchase. Linnea Jonsson, a trumpeter from KMH who released "Fragments of Spring" (PCD 293), also participated in the session. Singer/songwriter Isabella Lundgren Isabella Lundgren assisted Lovisa as producer. This session recording was made in June 2021 at the Atlantis Studio in Stockholm, which is famous for its ABBA recordings.
