Description:
John David Souther is a singer and songwriter who has made a name for himself in West Coast rock history as a signature artist of the Asylum with the Eagles and Jackson Browne, and later as a songwriter for the Souther-Hillman Furey Band and Linda Ronstadt, among others. This is his third solo album released in 1979, and it was a big hit with a perfect sound backed by Kenny Edwards, Danny Kochmar, Waddy Wachtel, David Sanborn, and other great players. The title track, "You're Only Lonely," spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The CD includes two additional previously unreleased bonus tracks from the album sessions.
