Sean Scheibe was born in Edinburgh in 1992 to a Japanese mother and a Scottish father. He was the first guitarist to be selected as a BBC New Generation Artist and the only solo guitarist to receive the Borletti-Buitoni Foundation Scholarship for his extraordinary abilities. He has received many awards, including the Gold Medal of the Royal Overseas League and the Ivor Meyrantz Guitar Award.The first solo album by this new generation of talented guitarist, Sean Scheibe, features works written by Walton, Berklee, Arnold, and Britten for Julian Bream, as well as works by John Dowland.
