KALEO is an Icelandic band with the soul of bluesy American classic rock. The band's main attraction is their "two-faced" style of bluesy, groovy, heavy-boned rock sound and delicate, folky acoustic sound, and they have completed one of the coolest albums in the band's history after being trained through hard touring! This is their third studio album "MIXED EMOTIONS", their first in four years. Analog LP is also released at the same time! KALEO is a rock band from Iceland, now based in Austin, U.S. Their last album "A/B" released in 2016 won a gold disc in the U.S., and the single "No Good" from the album was nominated for a Grammy Award and became their breakthrough album. They have now completed their third studio album, their first in four years since the release of "Surface Sounds" in 2021. Co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Eddie Speer (Zach Bryan, et al.) and Sean Everett (The Killers, Kacey Musgraves, et al.) with band frontman JJ Julius Sun, SURFACE Production began in 2023 at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, and the album was recorded with Eddie Speer in Nashville and Sean Everett in Los Angeles, taking time out from the band's busy touring schedule. The result is this album. The result is a passionate artistic statement that comfortably expresses the unique sound the band has honed over years of hard touring and taking no chances. JJ, in particular, pushed himself with dedication to make the vocal performances and arrangements as enjoyable as possible. There is nothing like making music with your friends, and I am very proud to have helped produce such a wonderful collection of songs."
