Music written for Swedish trumpet player Hardenberger SACD hybrid disc. Music written for Swedish trumpet player Håkan Hardenberger (Hardenberiel) (1962-). Following the concerto by Brett Dean and Luca Francesconi (BIS SA 2067) comes an album of concerto works by Betsy Jolas and Olga Neuwirth. Betsy Jolas (1926-) was born in Paris and began her general education in the U.S. in 1940, studying composition with Paul Bepple, piano with Helen Schnabel, and organ with Carl Weinrick. =He continued his composition studies at the Conservatoire de Paris with Milhaud, Simone Pré, Cossard, and Messiaen. Written as a "concerto suite for piano, trumpet, and orchestra," The True Story is a 2015 work. Truth," which fulfilled a request from both Muraro, the "pianist," and Hardenberger, the "trumpeter," to play together, and which consciously tried to use "sounds we try not to hear."Composed on commission for the "Spring of the Arts in Monte Carlo" festival. The Austrian composer Olga Neuwirth (1968-) was fascinated by the sound of the trumpet as a child and aspired to become a professional jazz trumpeter, but was unable to realize her dream because of an injury to her jaw in a car accident when she was 15. The title of the piece, "...miramondomultiplo...," means "a diversity of ways of looking at the world," and was written for trumpet and large orchestra, showing various dreamlike moments. It consists of five movements that share the title "aria" (aria, air), meaning "air" or "atmosphere" and "melody. The five movements are: "aria dell'angelo," "aria della memoria," "aria del sangue freddo," "aria della pace," and "aria del piacere," or "aria of joy.It was premiered at the 2006 Salzburg Festival with Hardenberger and the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Pierre Boulez. The trumpet concerto by Sally Beamish (1956-), placed between Jolas and Neuwirth, is the same recording that appeared in her collection of orchestral works (BIS SA 2156). Italo Calvino's "Invisible City," "Prelude: Adagio - Allegro," "Andante," composed with the inspiration of "the rich sound of the trumpet of Clifford Brown, a jazz player whose 12-year-old son was playing at home" and "of course, the lovely playing of Hardenberger and "Allegro - Presto", three movements of music.
