Ning Feng, born in China and now based in Berlin as of 2017, is an internationally active violinist who has won prizes in prestigious competitions such as the Hanover International Violin Competition, Yehudi Menuhin International Competition, Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, and in 2005, the Michael Hill International In 2005, she won the first prize at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition, and in 2006, she won the first prize at the Paganini International Violin Competition.Channel Classics' Bach unaccompanied violins include Rachel Podger's historic masterpieces, but producer and recording engineer Jared Sachs has recognized "Podger for baroque violins and Ning Feng for modern violins" and decided to record them! Ning Feng, driving a 1721 MacMillan Stradivarius violin, has perfected his technique and keen sensitivity in this recording of Bach's sacred texts.
