Young violinist Charlie Siem was born in London in 1986 and started playing the violin at the age of 3. He has performed with major orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and with such greats as Charles Dutoit, Edward Gardner, Zubin Mehta, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Roger Norrington. His second release for the Signum label, Beethoven's Violin Concerto (SIGCD704/PSIGCD704), was highly acclaimed and received a four-star rating from Pizzicato magazine. This time, she performs the violin sonatas of Vaughan Williams and Grieg with Itamar Golan, with whom she collaborated on the first release on the Signum label, a collection of small works (SIGCD652).Itamar Golan is a chamber music specialist known for his work with such virtuosos as Wadim Repin, Maxim Vengerov, and Sayaka Shoji, and has also performed with Charlie Seam on many occasions.
