The first Mozart opera project, "Apollo and Hyacinthos" is now available from Signum, a Latin language opera written by Mozart, an 11 year old child prodigy! Founded in 1997 by Ian Page, a specialist in the music of Mozart and his contemporaries, Classical Opera is the most exciting period-instrument opera company in the UK. Signum Classics presents an album of "Apollo and Hyacinth", the first recording of the project to complete the recording of all Mozart's operas, including such rare works as "Mithridate, King of Ponto", "The Shepherd King", "Zeide", and "The Dream of Sipione". The first recording of "Apollo and Hyacinth" was made at the age of 11(!). Mozart was a child prodigy at the age of 11(!).
