An album commemorating the 85th anniversary of the birth of the bossa nova master, Humberto Menescal (Leila Pinheiro also joins as a special guest. This is a cover album featuring three of the pride of the Brazilian music world, Roberto Menescal, Diogo Monzo, and Hicardo Bacelar. This album commemorates the 85th birthday of the bossa nova legend, Humberto Menescal, and includes the song "Bye Bye Brasil" (written by Humberto Menescal and Sico Buarruchi) with special guest Leila Pinheiro on vocals. This album mainly contains instrumental versions of many of the classic songs that Roberto Menescal himself created with Honaude Boskoli. In addition to the guitar tones that only he can produce, the pianist Diogo Monzo (piano, keyboards) and the multi-instrumentalist Hicardo Bacelar (piano, keyboards, percussion) participated in this project, and each of them also arranged the music.The project was born out of a proposal brought to the label by cultural producer Fernanda Kindele. We originally planned to record an instrumental album, but we decided to include three vocal tracks as well. This album was planned as a tribute to Menescal, and it was a pleasure to have him here in my studio in Fortaleza," says Hicardo Bacelar. Bacelar produced this album, "Nos e o Mar" (Nos e o Mar), with Kindele, on his own label, Jasmine Music.
