From the ashes of a single band, a new phoenix rises into the sky. The band's melodic rock sound, which has been the focus of attention from BBC Radio 1, NME, KERRANG! Formed in 2014 by five former Lost Prophets members (Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stuart Richardson, Jamie Oliver, and Luke Johnson) and Jeff Rickley of the now-defunct Earthday, the new group "NO Drummer Luke Johnson left the group in early 2015, and as of August 2015, the lineup includes Proc Party drummer Matt Tongue.Their debut single "Stay" was released in 2014, and as soon as it was aired on BBC Radio 1's ROCK SHOW, it quickly gained positive feedback and attention, reaching #7 on the UK OFFICIALROCK& METAL chart and entering the UK OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT Top 40. Since then, NO DEVOTION has steadily expanded their activities and gained support, supporting Gerard Way on his UK tour, and their second single "10,000 Summers" has been streamed over 730,000 times on Spotify. NO DEVOTION's long-awaited debut album, "PERMANENCE," is now available! The album, which means "permanent and unchanging," was produced by Stuart Richardson and Alex Newport, known for his work with Bloc Party, Mars Volta, and Frank Turner, and mixed by Dave Friedman, who has worked with the Flaming Lips, MGMT, and Saturday, among others. Dave Friedman handled the mix. The sound is a post-punk sound that clearly shows that the band has come out of the past and out of themselves.Their melodic rock sound, with aggressive rhythms and occasional melancholic echoes, also shows influences of JOY DIVISION, THE CURE, NEW ORDER, and others. Each of them has come to terms with the past, and their sound as NO DEVOTION resonates on a new horizon!
