Description:

CPE Bach played by Ryo Terakobe & Bonizzoni! Ryo Terakobe is a master baroque violinist who has served as concertmaster of such prestigious old music ensembles as La Petite Bande, Les Arts Florissants, Chapelle Royale, and Collegium Vocale Ghent. Fabio Bonizzoni, one of Italy's leading keyboard players and conductors, has played with Amsterdam Baroque, Le Conseil des Nations, Europa Galante, and others, and has led La Risonanza, an ancient music ensemble he founded himself. The two have also collaborated on Challenge Classics' release of J.S. Bach's Violin Sonatas (Vol.1: CC72866, Vol.2: CC72929), and have given a blissful performance. Among Bach's talented sons, C.P.E. Bach, in particular, deeply respected his father and tried to create music that reflected the changes of the times while faithfully following his father's teachings. He composed chamber music throughout his life, and among the 16 works in which he designated keyboard and melody instruments, C.P.E. Bach's masterpiece and landmark work in this genre is the four sonatas for violin and keyboard (Wq75-Wq78), composed in 1763, which are The album contains three sonatas, Wq76-Wq78, and a free work, Fantasia (Fantasia) in F-sharp minor, Wq80, which clearly foreshadows the scent of Romanticism. The Fantasia is based on a work for keyboard, to which a violin part was added to enrich the texture, and a new allegro section was composed. Expect a brilliant performance of C.P.E. Bach's music by two of the most prominent musicians in the HIP (historically informed performance) Baroque music world. Tokyo M-Plus
