Pierre Henri is a French composer of contemporary music. He studied at the Paris Conservatory with Olivier Messiaen and Nadia Boulanger. Together with Pierre Cheffert, he is considered a pioneer of the "music concrète," a branch of electronic music. Together they composed the first masterpiece of electronic music, Symphony for a Single Man.
