A collection of piano sonatas played by Gil Sullivan, an expert Mozart interpreter who was once described by a local newspaper as "the world's greatest Mozart interpreter" during a concert tour in Europe. Sullivan is one of the few pianists in the world whose repertoire includes all of Mozart's piano works. In 1991, the bicentennial of Mozart's death, he presented a recital series including all of his piano sonatas, and in 2006, the 250th anniversary of his birth, he presented a multimedia performance of Mozart's sonatas with contemporary paintings depicting the cities he visited and his acquaintances, and readings of letters from Mozart, his family, lovers, and friends. The program has been performed at festivals in Australia and Germany, and includes a multimedia performance of Mozart's music along with contemporary paintings depicting the cities Mozart toured and the people he knew. Born in Australia, Gil Sullivan studied in his native country, then in London with Murray Peraia and in Vienna with Paul Badura-Skoda.They have performed twice at Carnegie Hall in New York, and have also appeared on stage at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Berlin Konzerthaus.
