The treasured recordings of France Brüchen, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of his death in 2024, are now available! Since their first visit to Poland in 1989, Brüchen and the 18th Century Orchestra have continued to build a close relationship with Poland as the resident orchestra of the "Chopin and His Europe" International Music Festival. The live recording of the concert they gave in Warsaw during their visit to Poland in 2004 will be released by NIFC (Chopin Institute/Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina) with the support of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage! NIFC (Chopin Institute/Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina) with support from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. This is a live Haydn concert by the great musicians who recorded many Haydn symphonies for PHILIPS in the 80's and 90's.This 3-CD album contains six symphonies performed over three days of concerts, an aria with frequent collaborator Wilke te Brummelstorte, a cello concerto with Roel Dieltiens, and the third movement (excerpt) of Beethoven's "Hero" performed as an encore performed as an encore. In addition, on the final track, Joseph Strauss' polka mazurka "Dragonfly" was added as an encore at the 2013 "Chopin and His Europe" International Music Festival, Brüchen's last appearance at the festival.
