The new album by Classico Latino, an authentic Latin band based in London, features Colombian salsa legend Fluco and renowned violinist Omar Puente! Classico Latino is led by Colombian pianist Iván Guevara and English cellist/conductor Graham Walker. They have released five studio albums to date. They are renowned for attracting audiences around the world, from prestigious British venues such as Lonnie Scott's Jazz Club to the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Colombia. Their new album is full of diversity, incorporating not only salsa, but also bolero, tango, pasillo, holopo, and other lesser-known rhythms. What is most surprising is the participation of Julio Ernesto Estrada, a.k.a. Fluco, a great figure in the Colombian music scene. The album also features Omar Puente, a Cuban violin virtuoso who has supported Rubén González in his Buena Vista Social Club projects and has performed with Wynton Marsalis and others.
