The DURUTTI COLUMN, led by VINI REILLY, a guitarist who supported the early FACTORY RECORDS along with JOY DIVISION, released their debut album in 1980. The debut album, released in 1980, has been completely remastered and reissued to celebrate its 45th anniversary. The delicate guitars and ambient sound space produced by MARTIN HANNETT are regarded as the prototype of early ambient/post-rock music. The album has a unique aesthetic that has not faded over time.The original compositions, which are both serene and experimental, are remastered from the original tapes for the first time since 1980, and include "SKETCH FOR SUMMER," which combines lightness of speed and fading, "SKETCH FOR WINTER," which captures the winter air, "LIPS THAT WOULD KISS," which is both sweet and desolate, and "MADELEINE," which has a beautiful hard sparkle with flowing fingerings. The latest remastering from the original tapes is the first time since 1980 that the original songs are remastered. This is the first reissue from the original tapes since 1980. 45th anniversary remastering and half-speed cutting.
