Iglooghost, who made a splash when he released his "Chinese NYear" EP on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder while still in his teens, has released his debut album "Ne Wax Bloom" on vinyl reissue in 2017! Based on the fantastic concept of "a story about two giant eyeballs encountered in the mysterious world of Mamou," the album features the same soundtrack as the EP, with the addition of Kyoto-based dream pop producer and ally Cuushe, and up-and-coming US rapper/singer/producer Mr. Yote. Yote, an up-and-coming rapper, singer and producer from the US. The single "Bug Thief," which bursts with a deep love for LA NuBeat and Japanese electronica of the zero's and infuses the beat form with a menacing vibrancy, the high-speed bubblegum grime of "White Gum," and the exotic new age sound and voice material of "ZenChamp" with its slow and steady irregular beats, are all part of the album. The exotic new age sound and voice material of "ZenChamp", which runs at full speed along with the irregular beats, are the first examples of the unfathomable talent that has erupted.This is a Brainfeeder-style effort that beautifully continues the muddy, dope side of Flying Lotus, who has recently been reppin' LA blackness with Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat, and Kamasi Washington, and his love of pop culture. The artwork for the album was designed and produced by the same artist. The artwork for this album was designed by Iglooghost himself. The reissue will be released on splatter vinyl.
